THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATION (TPA) FOR CONDUCTING MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS AND SPECIAL REPORTS
LIC has signed an agreement with M/S. Heritage Health Services(P) Ltd., for conducting pre.policy medical examinations and special medical reports. The TPA will collect proposals from Branch Offices and arrange for Medical Examination etc. There is NO upper limit for TPA for introducing proposers to Medical Examiners etc.

As per the CO circular Ref: Actl./2092/4 dt.11.11.2006, the services of the TPA will be mandatory at Divisional Headquarters in THANJAVUR and at locations wherever the TPA have empanelled Diagnostic Centres and Medical Examiners. The TPA services will be Mandatory in respect of the following cases: -
Where Sum Under Consideration (SUC) is Rs. 10 lacs and above
Where the age last birthday (lbd) of the proposer is more than 45 years and SUC is more than 8 lacs.
In respect of revival of lapsed policies where sum at risk is above Rs.2 lacs
The existing system will be kept open in respect of location and cases where TPA is not mandatory.
